Workforce Development Fund

We are here to help you secure funding for your workforce through the Workforce Development Fund. This is available to most employers in the Adult Care services sector. You can claim up to £2,035 per learner per funding year to support their personal development and career progression.

 

What is the Workforce Development Fund?

The funding stream from the Department of Health and Social Care supports adult social care employers by contributing to the cost of vocational learning. This initiative aims to enhance the skills and qualifications of the workforce in the adult care sector. Individual employers and user-led organisations experience a range of benefits, including:

  • Enhanced knowledge and skills
  • More relevant and tailored care and support
  • Increased affordability of training
  • Improved retention of personal assistants

How has the Workforce Development Fund helped others?

The impact evaluation from the Workforce Development Fund (WDF) website has found that:

  • 93% of employers said it improved the skills and qualification levels of their staff team
  • 91% said it improved the quality of care they provide
  • 82% said it addressed the most pressing skills gap in their organisation

What do we offer?

We will provide full rounded assistance with your funding application. We will also support in claiming funds for course fees and associated costs including:

  • Employees’ salaries during training
  • Coaching and mentoring costs
  • Venue costs for training
  • Wage replacement costs

  • Level 2
  • Level 3
  • Plus some Level 4 qualifications
