As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for the following:
- Order picking using MHE equipment
- Prior to employment, successful candidates must pass a drug & alcohol test
- Ensure all operational manuals and safe systems of work are followed to achieve an accident-free operation
- To reconcile products with documentation and to load/unload vehicles
- Where a company uniform and personal protective equipment have been issued, they must be always worn when on duty
- This is a physical job so you must enjoy work of a physical nature such as lifting
Pay rates at Sainsburys Waltham Point
Basic rate: £12.48 per hour – POTENTIAL EARNING OF £468 PER WEEK plus overtime
Premium night rate from 6PM to 6 AM £14.27 per hour – POTENTIAL EARNING OF £535 PER WEEK plus overtime
After 6 weeks:
Basic rate: £13.73 per hour – POTENTIAL EARNING OF £514 PER WEEK plus overtime
Premium night rate from 6PM to 6 AM £15.52 per hour – POTENTIAL EARNING OF £582 PER WEEK plus overtime
Overtime reconciled over a 4-weekly period; threshold 169 hours in a month’s period. Whatever is on top of those hours gets paid at £20.59 per hour (£23.28 per hour for night shifts). There is potential of up to 2hrs of overtime available each day!
Breaks are paid. **Generous bonus scheme paid on a weekly basis performance driven**
A performance-based bonus is an additional incentive paid to colleagues reaching our CPM target of 92
Shifts at Sainsburys Waltham Point
We have a variety of shifts available:
- 6am – 2pm
- 8am – 4pm
- 2pm – 10pm
- 6pm – 2am

You will be on a rota for any 5 days per week and expected to work 37.5hrs per week (flexibility will be required)
