Job roles with Sainsburys
Sainsburys Northampton
As an Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for the following:
- Picking jobs are available in different departments and environments
- Chill environment (3-5 degrees) working with a hand scanner and a manual pump truck, can involve heavy lifting
- Produce environment (5-7 degrees) working with a hand scanner and electrical pump truck, heavy lifting involved
- Ambient chamber (same temperature as outside) working with a voice scanner and driving MHE
- For all departments we are using CPM (client’s system) to track their performance
Sainsburys Thameside
As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for the following:
- Order picking using MHE equipment
- Prior to employment, successful candidates must pass a drug & alcohol test
- Ensure all operational manuals and safe systems of work are followed to achieve an accident-free operation
- To reconcile products with documentation and to load/unload vehicles
- Where a company uniform and personal protective equipment have been issued, they must be always worn when on duty
- This is a physical job so you must enjoy work of a physical nature such as lifting
Sainsburys Waltham Point
As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for the following:
- Order picking using MHE equipment
- Prior to employment, successful candidates must pass a drug & alcohol test
- Ensure all operational manuals and safe systems of work are followed to achieve an accident-free operation
- To reconcile products with documentation and to load/unload vehicles
- Where a company uniform and personal protective equipment have been issued, they must be always worn when on duty
- This is a physical job so you must enjoy work of a physical nature such as lifting
Pay rates with Sainsburys
- Pay rate: £12.48 to £15.52 per hour
- First 6 weeks paid from £12.48 per hour
- After 6 weeks service pay increases to £13.73 per hour from 6am to 18pm
- Any hours worked between 18:00pm and 06:00am are paid at £1.79 extra per hour
- You get £6.87 extra for each of the hours if you work over 169 hours in a 4 week period
- If your pick performance is at 100% in a full week with 40hrs worked potentially you would earn £50 on average per week as bonus.
Shifts with Sainsburys
Sainsburys Northampton:
- Any 5 days out of 7
Sainsburys Thameside:
- You will be working on 8hr shifts – expected to work 40 hours per week
- Other shifts may be available, please contact us for more details
Sainsburys Waltham Point:
- You will be on a rota for any 5 days per week and expected to work 37.5hrs per week (flexibility will be required)
