Our ideal candidate should have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, maintain a good level of general fitness to handle potential heavy lifting, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Additionally, a basic standard of literacy and numeracy, coupled with a flexible attitude, is essential.
Job Role
The role is an exciting and active role picking and packing biscuits on a production line:
- Manual handling or lifting may be required
- The role will be in a fast-paced and team environment
- Using MHE (Material Handling Equipment) as required
Pay rates with Pladis
- Your pay rates will start from £12.21 per hour (overtime rate will be £17.16 per hour)
- It may go up depending on training to £14.30 per hour (overtime rate will be £21.45 per hour)
Shifts with Pladis
We have a range of shifts available (dependent on the site you work in):
- 6am until 2pm
- 2pm until 10pm
- 10pm until 6am
- 4:45pm until 9:30pm
- 7am until 5pm

Pladis has a well-equipped, fully automated biscuit factory in Carlisle, CA2 5TG. This site was set up way back in 1831 and is a well-known landmark in the vicinity. The Carlisle factory boasts of a rich history going back over a century and is deemed significant as it generates good quality jobs, predominantly to women. Currently, the site employs over 750 employees in its biscuit factory.
One of the oldest Pladis factories built in 1902, the spectacular Harlesden factory is situated enroute Pladis Halifax site in HX1 3YA is one of the leading chocolates and biscuits factory in the UK. The site has a friendly culture, with supportive peers and supervisors. The Halifax site has a state-of-the-art infrastructure and is one of the prominent employment hubs in the region.
One of the oldest Pladis factories built in 1902, the spectacular Harlesden factory is situated enroute Watford, in London, NW10 7NY. The state-of-the-art factory manufactures Chocolate Digestives, Hobnobs, Mini Cheddars and other iconic biscuits in its premises and churns out 180 tonnes of chocolate digestives daily.
The leading snacks and biscuits brand have an iconic Liverpool based factory in L7 9NG. It is favoured by ideal location and offers several in-house facilities and perks to its temporary and permanent taskforce.
Home to the beloved Jaffa Cakes, Pladis has a magnanimous biscuit factory located in Stockport, Manchester, M19 2SD. The site is favoured by excellent urban connectivity and is one of the leading employment hubs in the Manchester.
Pladis Wigston factory is situated in South Wigston near Leicester, in LE18 4PQ and manufactures around 15,000 tonnes of biscuits each year. Some of the brands that are in-house in this factory include TeaTime (family circle) and Victoria assortments. In any peak season, the Wigston site offers employment to over 570 people each year.
