Job Description
The role of the Day QA is to ensure that all raw materials that arrive to site meet the company requirements as stated in the specification. The Auditor is also responsible for ensuring that all equipment is used efficiently, safely and in accordance with the Humdinger Management Protocols and to ensure that all areas meet the technical standards required of the business and comply with relevant food safety legislation.

Day to Day
- Manage the day to day deliveries to ensure that all material delivered to site is assessed against the correct standard and removed from OT within 48 hours of delivery.
- Testing and inspection of Chocolate Tankers.
- Complete all necessary tests required to ensure that a raw material meets the required standards and is for fit for use. I.e. certification, supplier approval, size checks, shelf life checks, viscosity checks, weigh checks, micro sampling etc. Maintenance of testing schedules.
- Complete all micro sampling as per schedule to ensure that the company has the necessary results to prove due diligence. This includes all raw material and checks that are required.
- Complete all Nutritional testing as per schedule and report results to relevant staff.
- Follow allergen validation schedule and complete testing where necessary.
- Ensure that all results are compared and signed off against the required standard, (customer micro limits, raw material specification etc.).
- Ensure that for any out of specification results the escalation procedure is followed and that all necessary actions and retest are completed and documented.
- Report issues to the Operations Team and Technical as necessary. Be instrumental in progressing a corrective action plan and ensuring that all corrective actions are completed in a timely manner.
- Support of the QA team where required, such in times of absence.
- Testing and Inspection of PFU stock, including placing stock on Hold, REPA, DP and raising concessions for release where required.
- Carry out Routine audits as per schedule to validate that the product and processes are correct and any issues are reported in a timely manner
- Be a Quality Champion for the Factory
- Ensure that full segregation and controls are in place within the warehouse against the site segregation risk assessment.
- Complete any task deemed necessary to ensure the successful completion of all tasks.
- Carry out Project work as required
Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualification
Essential:
- Good level of English and Math demonstrated by GCSE or equivalent) Grade C or above or completion of Advanced Core Competency testing
- Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification (or equivalent)
- An understanding of pest control and completion of a training course in this area
- Good understanding of GMP best practice
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (word, excel, outlook and PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of training others/coaching and the ability to confirm understanding when managing staff
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to manage people, quality or health and safety issues and confident to escalate these issues when required
- Previous Experience within FMCG Environment

- Segregation and Integrity Training
- COP Review
- Complaints Reduction Experience
