Skills Bootcamps in HGV Driving provide employers with a cost-effective, government-funded solution to recruit, upskill and retain qualified HGV drivers. Delivered as part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, these intensive 16-week programmes are designed to address the ongoing HGV driver shortage by creating job-ready, compliant drivers aligned to your business needs.
Funded by the Department for Education, Skills Bootcamps enable employers to access Category C+E (articulated) qualified drivers with minimal training costs and reduced recruitment risk.
Employer Contribution:
Large employers are expected to contribute 30% towards training costs, while SMEs contribute 10% when training their existing employees. In addition, we can partner with employers to deliver custom HGV Bootcamps tailored to meet future recruitment needs for newly qualified HGV Cat C+E drivers.

The Skills Bootcamp follows a structured pathway to ensure drivers are fully prepared for employment:
Learners complete DVSA medicals, provisional licence applications and theory tests.
Flexible learning that fits around existing commitments, ensuring learners can steadily build core knowledge of HGV driver theory.
1–2 weeks of hands-on training with expert instructors, focused on real-world driving competence, not just passing the test.
Each learner is assigned a Learning Advisor to maximise completion and job readiness, with a guaranteed employer interview on completion to accelerate the route into work.
